Dan Clendaniel
Dan Clendaniel is a retired public school teacher
from Prince William County, Virginia. He was born and
raised in California, Pennsylvania. Clendaniel
graduated from California University of Pennsylvania
in 1978 and taught American History and
American government for 34 years.
During his last year as a teacher, he served as the
Teacher-In-Residence at the National Museum of the
Marine Corps in Triangle, Virginia. He continues to
conduct 'trunk' programs though the museum on
World War I, World War II and the Cold War.
His interest in the 85th Pennsylvania regiment began
in 2009 with the review of ten family letters written
during the war by John and Stephen Clendaniel.
